Privacy Policy

When you create an account we collect your email address and name via Clerk, our authentication provider. We record usage data — the strategies you create, backtest runs you initiate, and exports you generate — to operate the service and enforce plan quotas. Payment details are processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number or bank credentials.

Your data is used to operate the backtesting service, send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts), enforce tier quotas, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

Account data is held while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure on request. Backtest run results are retained according to your plan tier. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@backtester.run.

• Clerk — authentication and session management.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Cloudflare — object storage (backtest result files) and CDN.
• Anthropic — AI inference. Your strategy description is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a validated strategy specification. Per Anthropic's API terms, this data is not used to train their models.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email support@backtester.run.

We set a single session cookie issued by Clerk to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics cookies, or fingerprinting scripts.
